The U.S. Still Loves iPhones

Samsung does an excellent job with marketing -- there's no doubt about it. The Galaxy S4 has unquestionably created plenty of buzz. Amid all this hype, is Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) iPhone beginning to lose its "cool" factor in the U.S.?

Not according to a Yankee GroupĂ‚ survey of over 16,000 people, which indicates the iPhone seems to be holding out great in the U.S. In fact, the intent to buy the iPhone in the U.S. is almost twice that of the intent to buy Samsung phones. Furthermore, data from the study suggests that iOS will actually surpass Google's (NASDAQ: GOOG  ) Android platform in U.S. market share.

In the video below, Fool contributor Daniel Sparks shares some more details from the study with Motley Fool analyst Rex Moore, and he explains exactly what the report means for investors.

However, there is a debate raging as to whether Apple remains a buy. The Motley Fool's senior technology analyst and managing bureau chief, Eric Bleeker, is prepared to fill you in on reasons to buy and reasons to sell Apple, and what opportunities are left for the company (and your portfolio) going forward.
