The irrepressible Howard Davidowitz, retail analyst, is a mensch for answering his own phone, and also for his on-screen energy.
He appeared today on Yahoo! Finance’s Tech Tickerwith Henry Blodget saying the U.S. is in deep trouble with massive debts, fiscal instability looming, and on and on. “We’re weaker than we’ve ever been, we look more and more like Zimbabwe.”
“We’ve got trillion dollar deficits forever, and we’re broke. And that’s where we’re going!”
All of this is, to be sure, far afield of Howard’s usual focus on retail sales, but then, that’s Howard!
