Israel has banned imports of the Apple (AAPL) iPad, citing concerns the tablet computer’s WiFi radio could disrupt other devices, according to the AP.
The country’s customer officials said they have already confiscated about 10 iPads; the ban prevents anyone – including tourists – from bringing iPads into the country until they are certified as being in compliance with local transmission standards.
A communications ministry official told the AP, though, that he expects the issue to be resolved as Apple moves closer to the international release of the device.
