ETFs had an inflow of $13 billion in April (slightly less than the previous month's $19 billion inflow). Total assets set a record high of $854 billion.

Emerging market ETFs had the largest inflow on the group level, adding $3 billion last month, while currency ETFs has the largest outflow (-$170 million).
At the sub-category level, ETFs that invest across all emerging markets had the largest inflow of $2.1 billion, followed by US - Small Cap ETFs ($1.4 billion) and Short - Bond ETFs ($1.3 billion).
Largest outflows were in US - Large Cap ETFs (-$2.5 billion), Sector - Healthcare (-$5.4 million) and Sector - Consumer Staples (-$3.2 million).
